FACTORY CHECK-IN — Lean Smart-Cell Transformation at GL Metal Works

GL Metal Works Ltd, a steel fabrication and erection company in Larnaca, Cyprus, is planning its transition to a lean “smart cell” production model with fibre-laser cutting, AI-based nesting and systematic reuse of steel remnants. Selected as technology provider through the MANTRA/SECPHO matchmaking, Aridex delivers the feasibility, pilot and investment-readiness work that turns the concept into an evidence-based investment decision.

Objectives

Set KPI baselines from twelve months of energy, steel-purchase and offcut data, and validate the Lean Smart Cell concept.

Compare fibre-laser options, run AI-nesting simulations and pilot barcode-based remnant reuse on live projects.

Deliver a Life Cycle Assessment and GHG quantification (ISO 14040 / ISO 14064-1), an investment-readiness dossier and a vendor-neutral digital integration blueprint.
